Donghyun Woo

Donghyun Woo is a Ph.D student of Korean History at UCLA. His research concerns the relationship between the DPRK and the USSR in the Cold War period, with a specific focus on how knowledge and practice regarding cooperation were constructed, contested, and configured. He has presented in several countries including the US, the UK, Russia, Italy, and Norway. He studied the Russian language in Tomsk in 2017 and loves the following Russian phrase: “tol’ko vpered, ni shagu nazad!”
